Chanel’s Summer’s Calling collection is built around colour that feels light on the face: soft pink, pale yellow, coral and warm brown. Created by the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio with Valentina Li of the Comètes Collective, it takes the energy of summer evenings into a more considered beauty routine.
What draws us to the range is the balance between playfulness and precision. A blush and highlighter share one stick. An eye pencil can bring a wash of colour or a clearer line. The shades are expressive, but the approach leaves room for your own features.
We would keep the complexion fresh and choose one detail to lead. A pink cheek beside a white shirt, warm brown lashes with simple jewellery, or a brighter lip against black silk. The appeal is in how these small choices change the feeling of an outfit.

An eyeshadow, liner and kohl in one pen. The collection moves from delicate pastel shimmer to a quieter peach and mauve brown.
ROUGE COCO BAUME SHINE

The tinted balm brings a glossy finish in two collection shades: a delicate sparkling pink and a more vivid fuchsia.
LE VERNIS

The finishing detail: metallic pastel pink or semi-sheer soft peach. Both extend the collection’s lighter colour palette to the nails.
NOIR ALLURE

The collection’s hazelnut-brown mascara adds definition with a softer visual effect than black. We would pair it with one of the pastel pencils.
For us, the most elegant way to wear the collection is with restraint. Pick the colour that feels like you and let it carry the look. A little luminosity can be enough; the rest is in the way you wear it.
