What draws us to Dior this season is the way the clothes seem to move before the wearer does. For Summer 2027, Jonathan Anderson gives the house a softer rhythm, one that feels considered without becoming precious. There is romance here, but it has room to breathe.
STRUCTURE, SOFTENED
Tailoring becomes fluid through lace, silk mousseline and organza. Pleats and stripes create a conversation between transparency and coverage, while scarves draped from the shoulder introduce an uneven, falling line. The collection’s tree-lined setting makes that sense of lightness especially tangible.
For us, the interesting part is the relationship between a garment’s outline and what happens within it. A jacket can still suggest authority while the fabric loosens that impression. It makes dressing feel less prescribed. We would take that idea into an everyday wardrobe through one beautifully cut layer, allowing everything underneath to feel simpler.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF ROMANCE
Floral references extend to the Dior Cigale shoes, with their petal-shaped soles. They give the collection’s softness a precise point of focus. Asymmetrical earrings and supple bags keep the eye moving rather than settling on one perfectly matched composition.
We love a detail that changes how you look at an otherwise familiar silhouette. The flowers here invite a closer glance. They make us think about texture and proportion, rather than simply adding something pretty to an outfit.
WHAT WE WOULD TAKE FROM IT
Our instinct is to borrow the ease. A sheer layer over something opaque. A scarf allowed to fall naturally. A shoe that carries the personality of the look. Those choices feel more compelling to us than trying to recreate a complete runway outfit.
There is also something appealing about letting softness lead. We often reach for a strong jacket or a clean line, but this collection makes a persuasive case for giving those pieces a little movement. That is the Dior idea we would keep: a wardrobe with structure, and enough air around it to feel alive.
